Features of Avant
Avant is a browser based on IE/Trident/Chromium engines (depending on the version) that uses system network settings. In most cases it is enough to configure the proxy at the OS level — the browser will pick them up automatically.
Option A. Use system settings (recommended)
- Open system proxy settings:
- Specify:
- Host:
p2.mangoproxy.com
- Port:
2333
- Authorisation by login/password on the first request.
- Host:
- Save, restart Avant if necessary.
Option B. Force only Avant through a proxy
If you want only Avant to go through a proxy (and not the system), use an application redirector:
Verification
- Open a tab in Avant and go to
https://api.ipify.org
. - Make sure Mango Proxy IP is displayed.
