Configuring Octo Browser to work with Mango Proxy
Octo Browser is an anti‑detect browser used for running multiple isolated profiles. The steps below show how to configure a Mango Proxy connection inside a new Octo profile. Use the same protocol and credentials that you generated when creating a proxy session in Mango Proxy.
Step 1: Launch Octo Browser and create a new profile
- Launch the Octo Browser application on your computer.
- From the main interface choose Create Profile (sometimes labelled Add profile).
Step 2: Go to the proxy settings
- In the profile creation window locate the Proxy section and open it.
- From the Proxy Type menu select the protocol that matches your Mango Proxy configuration (SOCKS5, HTTP or HTTPS).
Step 3: Enter your Mango Proxy details
- In the Proxy Type field choose the same protocol selected in Mango Proxy (SOCKS5, HTTP or HTTPS).
- In Host enter the proxy server address (for example
p2.mangoproxy.com
). - In Port enter the port number (for example
2333
). - In Username enter the login generated in Mango Proxy.
- In Password enter the corresponding password.
Step 4: Test the connection and save the profile
- Click Check Proxy or Test Connection to verify that the proxy is reachable.
- Once the test succeeds click OK or Save to store the profile settings.
- Your new profile will appear in the main interface. Select it and click Start to launch your session with the configured proxy.
After you have configured one profile you can reuse the same steps to create additional profiles with different credentials or protocols. For more information about creating proxies in Mango Proxy refer to the guide in the getting‑started section.
